Step-by-step guide: Windows 11 Home Activation

Downloading the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool

1. Visit the official Microsoft Windows 11 download page.
2. Scroll to the Create Windows 11 Installation Media section.
3. Click Download Now under the Windows 11 Installation Media section to download the Media Creation Tool.

Using the Media Creation Tool to Create Installation Media

1. After downloading, run the Media Creation Tool. You must have administrator privileges to proceed.
2. If you agree to the license terms, click Accept.
3. On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, then click Next.
4. Choose the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit) for Windows 11.
5. Select the type of installation media:USB Flash Drive: Insert a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of storage.
6. Note that all existing data on the drive will be erased.
   1. ISO File: Save an ISO file to your PC to create a bootable DVD. After the file downloads, you can navigate to its location or select Open DVD burner to burn the ISO to a DVD.

Activating Windows 11 Home

Step 1: Activation During Installation (Optional)

If you are installing Windows 11 Home for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your product key during setup. Enter your key when prompted, and Windows 11 Home will activate automatically after installation completes.

Step 2: Activation After Installation

If you did not activate Windows 11 during installation or need to enter a product key later, follow these steps:

1. Purchase a License Key
   If you don’t have a key, you can purchase one from nodekeys.com.
2. Open Settings
   1. Click the Start button and select Settings (gear icon).
3. Navigate to Activation
   1. In the Settings window, go to System > Update & Security, and select Activation.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the activation process.

3. Enter Your Product Key

• Under the Activation section, click on Change product key. A prompt will appear asking you to enter your 25-character product key.

4. Enter Your Product Key

• Type your product key into the designated field and click Next.
• Windows will validate the key and activate your system.

5. Confirm Activation

• Once the activation is successful, a confirmation message will appear stating that Windows is activated.
